Heian dress event in the orchid garden Ran no Yakata near Yabacho subway station. (http://www.rannoyakata.net/). Fortunatly we were allow to take pictures during whole show. The dress assistants put dress on a model in traditional way. They reproduced the Heian court culture on the stage. Master of ceremony explained each times and it was very useful to understand.
How beautiful. I read recently that this Heian style of dressing can be undone very quickly. I wonder how long it takes to dress? This period of dress is the most beautiful of all cultures.

ReplyDeleteThey needed about 30 minutes to put 5 dress and 1 hakama skirt.
