Tea Ceremony

Nagoya agriculture center plum blossom festival. (http://www.nga.or.jp/institution/nougyou/). There was a tea ceremony in the plum garden. Ura-Senke school served the tea. We paid 500yen and we can have a green tea and sweet. There was the plum garden. Small plum blossom mark was branded on the sweet.

  1. I am very pleased to see so much of your culture and traditions are still observed. One of my friends was a 90 year old Japanese lady who married an Australian man, and lived here until she died last year. She told me that Japan was 'Americanised' after the war, and the old traditions were gone. I wish I could have shown her your blog - it would have made her very happy.
