Kakuouzan festival

Autumn festival in Kakuouzan temple 29-30,Oct. Last Saturday evening I went to Kakuozan festival. http://www.kakuozan.com It was near 5 o'clock evening but there were crowded.

Okazaki castle

Next week 3,Nov the public holiday in Japan. At that day the public tea
party will be held in the Okazaki castle garden. (http://okazakipark.com/museum/e-ryujyou/kae171.htm).
Our master Isogai will be charge in the garden ceremony. We students will
work for it. I will be too and little nervous.

Shrimp Shibori

Last night I made up a new Shibori work. The last motif was Mukade centipede
and it was unpopular during girls. It was little shocked and I made gentle
motif this time. This is silk Shrimp Shibori muffler. The pictures came

Mikoshi march festival 2

Mikoshi is a heavy. The male Mikoshi weight is about 600kg. 60 men carried
it on their shoulders and snake dance on Ozone shopping street. (http://www8.ocn.ne.jp/~ozmall/).
There were the female and children's Mikoshi as well. People marched and
chantted the traditional words for cheer up festival.

男みこしが600キロ、女みこしは150キロあるそうです。祭りの掛け声のわっしょいを英語に訳せません。

Ozone Mikoshi march festival at 23 Oct. It is one of the biggest festival in Nagoya city and about 200 people attended (http://www11.ocn.ne.jp/~katayama/katayama5.htm). Mikoshi is the portal shrine that people carry it on their shoulders and march.

日曜日に大曽根の瑞龍みこし祭りを見に行きました。担ぎ手は総計200名。人の数だけで圧倒されました。迫力のある祭りは見てて元気になります。

Showa ward Autumn festival in Tsurumai park at 23,Oct.(http://www.city.nagoya.jp/showa/) Last Sunday a local community festival was held there. The flea marcket and food stalls were opened in the park. People saw the music and dance performances too..

Osu festival 5

The final Oiran march at 5 o'clock 16,Oct. 3 Oirans and other adult people were same as yesterday. 3 little girls Kamuros were changed. The march was surrounded by many people and I was little scared it would be a panic. The offical site http://www.ohsu-gei.net/town/oiran.html
